The processor operates at a base frequency of 3.0 GHz for P-cores and can automatically boost up to 5.4 GHz for all cores. With Thermal Velocity Boost technology, one or more cores can raise the frequency to 5.8 GHz for a short period. A unique feature of this processor is its ability to work with both DDR4 and the newer DDR5 RAM. The maximum supported frequency is 3200 MHz for DDR4 and 5600 MHz for DDR5. In performance tests, this processor shows outstanding results. In multi-threaded tests, it outperforms the previous model Core i9-12900KF (Alder Lake architecture) by nearly 35%, thanks to the increased core count from 16 to 24. In single-threaded tests, the gain is about 10%, which is attributed to the higher clock speed. Under maximum load, the processor consumes up to 253 W, so a powerful power supply is required for its operation. To install this processor in a computer, a motherboard with an LGA 1700 socket is necessary, which is also compatible with the previous generation Alder Lake chips.
